TREATMENTS
Physiotherapy assists people to restore, maintain and maximize their function, movement and overall well-being through manual therapy. It includes rehabilitation as well as prevention of injury and promotion of health and fitness.
We will develop a treatment program that is relevant and appropriate to your individual needs
FUNCTIONAL REHABILITATION
Functional Rehabilitation is the physical recovery of an injury. Combining various techniques and treatments, we attempt to recover the optimal body functions, restore the quality of life of the patients and help them to fully return to daily life activities.
PELVIC FLOOR RE-EDUCATION
Pelvic floor is a system of muscles and ligaments that close the abdominal cavity in its lower part. Its main function is the subjection and support of the pelvic organs. When this musculature weakens (due to age, pregnancy, impact sports, etc.), dysfunctions may occur, such as urinary incontinence -the loss of bladder control-. The treatment consists in strengthening the muscles and reducing abdominal (high) pressure with different exercises and electrostimulation.
HYPOPRESSIVE ABDOMINAL GYMNASTICS
Hypopressive Abdominal Gymnastics is a muscular training technique that aims to stimulate and strengthen abdominal and pelvic muscles. Through postural and respiratory exercises, we activate the stabilizing abdominal muscles of the spine and strengthen the muscles of the pelvic floor, which support the organs.
MASSOTHERAPY
Massotherapy is an integrated technique that uses various massage modalities for therapeutic purposes, such as the treatment of illnesses and injuries.
SPORTS MASSAGE
Sports Massage is a form of massage involving the manipulation of soft tissue to benefit a person engaged in regular physical activity to enhance performance, aid recovery and prevent injury.
KINESIO TAPING METHOD (KT).
Kinesio Taping is the use of specifically-designed tape to facilitate the natural healing process of the body, providing support and stability to the muscles and joints without restricting the movement. When applied to a certain tension, it generates a small lifting of the skin and creates a space between it and the muscle that helps to release all the toxins and inflammatory processes produced by the injury.
ELECTRO-STIMULATION
Electrotherapy and Ultrasound. It is a physical treatment that uses physiotherapy to complement different manual techniques.
LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE
Lymphatic Drainage is a very slow and gentle massage technique that aims to activate and improve the lymphatic circulation and to maximize the elimination of the undertone substances of our body. It is indicated for people with a tendency to retain fluids, specially after inflammatory and post-surgical procedures.
